In 1990s Los Angeles, the indoor swapmeets were where a lot of the city bought its clothes. In 1996, Alan Choi started supplying menswear to the merchants at the Compton Swap Meet and the Slauson Super Mall. Those stalls only reordered what sold, so the stock had to be right before it ever reached a rack. EPTM. was built on that in 2011.
The Proxy Set takes the athletic sets of that era and strips them back. Fully polyester, so it keeps its shape and its line through repeat wear. The ombre panels fade across the body, and the reflective stripes catch headlights after dark.
The fit is relaxed, with room through the body and a straight, easy fall. Worn as a full set, it reads clean from top to bottom. Available now.
