EPTM. stands for EPITOME, the perfect example of the thing itself.

For us, that thing is menswear.

Founder Alan Choi grew up in Seoul, South Korea, watching AFKN, the Armed Forces Korea Network. American television brought music, culture, and style into Korean living rooms. Hip-hop, R&B, and American street style shaped the way he saw fashion.

In 1996, he began supplying menswear to independent retailers at the Compton Swap Meet and Slauson Super Mall in Los Angeles. Working directly with store owners taught him quickly what people actually wear — and what they come back to buy again.

He founded EPTM. in 2011.

Long tees in 2014.

Track pants in 2017.

Cargo nylon pants in 2019.

Windbreaker sets in 2026.

Each came before the wave, not after it.

Menswear only. No second category. The narrowness is the point.

Today, EPTM. is sold through more than 500 doors, including 245+ DTLR locations.
